Pulsar C50 Digex?

Works well, good picture… does everything you need out of an nv.

Bit grainy on high zoom and battery life is probably not the best.

I have a C50 and yes it is very good. I do find it a sod to zero. I know it has the one button zero but I am struggling with my 243. I sorted it on my air rifle, then moved it to my HMR and managed to zero it both times, but each time on the 243 it doesn’t seem to want to play. I am presuming it is me and I am doing something wrong, just can’t figure out what. The 243 worked fine with a scope and pard on the back.

But, I do like the scope.

H"m, I am still seeing the £999 prices.
You're looking in the wrong places :)

Cheers

I went Alpex and with the recent price drop the Alpex is a bit of a no brainer. Couldn’t see any difference between them using my mk1 eyeball

Competition forcing price adjustments?
I don't think so, HIK pricing is very aggressive with regular price reductions across the board in both thermal and NV
HIK are a far bigger company than Pulsar and the UK HIK NV and thermal division is a drop in the bucket of their overall world wide market so selling kit for not much profit does not hurt them nearly as much as it would do to Pulsar
A comparison might be that Pulsar are the BMW of the NV/thermal market whilst HIK are the Ford.

I have a C-50 and it’s really good, probably the best all round day/night scope out at the moment. Although the not quite so good but significantly cheaper HIK Alpex runs it close. If you can stretch your budget to a C-50 get one if not go for the cheaper Alpex.

I have just gone through the ringer on digital scopes and settled on the C50. The picture in night mode with IR is probably the best of all.
I have had an ATN before, got a Pard Gen 2, which I just could not get on with and tried the Pard NV700sp.
C50 knocks all of these into the park.
It also works well out at ranges 400-500yds at night when couple with a PBIRX

Use a Hik on my .243 but soon going on a .222 as a dedicated fox and daytime Munty rifle.

The reticle can be slightly off centre when zeroed, but the new firmware rectifies that, so instead of a smooth zoom between 1 and 2 mag, it jumps to X2 mag and re-centres the reticle.

It is a chunky monkey but for the last light advantage it brings, it's worth it

£550 is a bargain and yes while the Pulsar may be better don't think it will be a few hundred quid better......

Iv got a C50 and love it but as already stated by others the Alpex at £650 is a very good buy. Its also worth putting it in QD mounts you can pop it off the rifle to charge and saves a bit of room in cabinet
