pulsar n355 digital night vision

Has anyone tried one of the new pulsar n355 night vision scopes.
They have been available for a few months now but I cant find any REAL WORLD reviews.
Before I part with my hard earned I'd like to know I'm on the right track!

What are you shooting and what range? If its foxes past 150yds buy a Drone Pro 10x optical mag, the 3.5x mag of the N355 is ok for close up work but using digital mag degrades image quality.

Wow!, where to begin? This Digital NV scope is a fraction of the cost of a Tube Type scope. The features are to numerous to list. The scope is not vulnerable to light like the tube scopes, so no fear of scope damage due to outside lights. I'm able to record a hunt session using a compatible mini video recorder. The mini-cam just plugs into the scope. I can clearly see in total darkness with the built in infra-red light. I really like this scope and considering all the features.

I’ve been trying to get one, no one seems to have any in stock. ????

The write up looks pretty good with a reasonable price tag it should attract quite a bit of interest

I’ve tried getting them everywhere, I had a look through a drone pro 10x over the weekend and I’ve now settled on that 99%
good luck

Why do you need a mini-cam that plugs in when the scope in question has a built in record feature?

Great intro. Best make a proper introduction as per forum rules.

Ambridge - isn't that a fictitious place that's the home of the "Archers"
and frankly, your comments sound a bit fictitious as well.

Having looked through both on the same night etc...
i would go for the N355 over the Drone anytime.
The picture quality was far superior.
Also depends what illuminator you are using too.

Went to NGO evening in our area last week. They had lots of toys to look through.
If money no issue I would go with the pulsar thermal scope all day long.

But comparing the N355 next to a drone.
The n355 wins hands down in my opinion. It’s that, my opinion

Christ it must be brilliant if "the picture quality was far superior" to the Drone.

The N355 has a base magnification of x3.5
A Drone Pro will most probably be x10 or possibly x15
Both the Pulsar and Drone Pro use the same resolution sensor (752x582)and the Drone Pro uses an 800x600 OLED display compared to the 640x480 OLED in the Pulsar
The Pulsar has digital zoom which, by the time it gets to it's maximum value of x14, is only using the central 188x146 pixels of the sensor. Frankly, the image quality with a 188x146 sensor will be crap
The Drone Pro uses a much larger objective lens to get it's x10 magnification so doesn't need digital zoom.
If you want to shoot foxes no more than 100 yards away then the N355 will probably be fine, but for longer range stuff the Drone Pro will be a much better tool for the job.

Cheers

100% Bruce, 3.5x vs 10x no competition.
