Pulsar Thermal - Battery Issue

Hey y'all,

I've just excitedly received my new Pulsar XM30F in the post. I put it on to charge out of the box to make sure battery is full.

Turning on whilst charging (charging in the unit rather than a separate battery pack) I could see yesterday that battery was at 59% so left on overnight. This morning it's only at 81%.

Battery is definitely fully in, and not showing the symbol when the battery is not fully in.

It will turn on whilst plugged in, but not when I unplug it so seemingly won't run on just the battery.

As I won't be able to speak to the supplier until Monday now, I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue before and if there was an obvious fix other than sending back?

Thanks

Odd!
Just checked my own XQ35 - from a cold start (off) it takes a full five seconds to “open” - I assume you are giving it that?

Is the battery clipped in properly? I had a similar situation and didn’t realise until it fell out in use.

OK interesting, I'll try a different cable.

It's strange that it says the battery has 80%, but when I take the cable out when it is switched on it just instantly turns off as though the battery will not keep it on even at 80% full

On my pulsar C50 the batteries are fully charged only by recharging on the optics, if I insert them into the double battery charger they cannot reach 100% energy Poor quality of the accessory

I know you said the battery is seated, but in this instance it defn suggests the battery isn't fully seated and it's working on mains till you pull the cable. I had issues with my previous XM30S battery initially, which was solved by properly/forcefully pressing the battery down into the socket.

I also bought a seperate charger as I don't like charging batteries in the unit, no issues charging my C50 or XQ35 batteries to 100%

Sure, that would make sense. But it's really in, the battery symbol comes up when switched on with external power and I need to press the battery release to remove it.

@Zio65 i had this- down to the quality of the connecting cable and USB plug.
Using the original pulsar cable and plug i achieve 100%, but having used a Samsung one (as that sits on the side for our tablets, all I could ever get was 80% charge.

Have you a spare battery to try? Also check the battery contacts are clean and free from dust, Bit of contact cleaner and blow out with an airline if you have it
