Good Morning All,

I am looking at a new thermal.

The 2 models stated? Is there really a 1k difference?

thanks

I guess it depends what you want. I borrowed an XQ35 but preferred my XM30key. And bought an XG35.

The XQ gives a high contrast, pixellated image of a heat source under good to poor conditions. Not much detail to the heat source.

The XG screen and sensor gives much more detail to the heat source and background and is less pixellated. But loses quality under poor misty/wet conditions.

Look through a Hik Falcon fq35, I did and was amazed at the image, a different image from my XG35lrf, I'm happy enough with my Pulsar that I won't be changing it until it breaks,
I got a good deal from Blackwoods on a Black Friday deal, and my nephew purchased it through his business and claimed the VAT back... it's on loan to me all the time ;)

That’s interesting as a vat inspector 😂😂

His business uses it whenever they need it, I look after it for safekeeping when they don't need it.

Some of the VAT scams within the building trade are truly shameful... I think every builder's merchants are probably complicit in the racket...

I’m only kidding , but you are right about the building trade

Neither - buy an IRay Finder FH35R here Infiray Finder FH35R V2 Thermal Monocular
Same spec as the XG35LF (which is better than the XQ35LRF) for a whole lot less money
I've used the XG35LRF and the Finder GH35R and the finder doesn't give anything away to the Pulsar - in fact I far preferred the image on the IRay compared to the usual "net curtain" effect seen on virtually ever pulsar thermal I've ever looked through

Cheers

Bruce
