I note the soon to be available XM30F is similarly priced to the outgoing XM30 Key. The new unit seems to have all the 'bells and whistles' the Key hasn't, together with improved eye display and an amoled screen. Reading the specs however, it seems the Key has a higher resolution screen. I'm interested to know if the actual image on the lower resolution screen of the new unit is better than the non amoled Key.

The new screen difference means the display is a lot larger than the previous Key model. Personally I much prefer the new screen ..

You really do get a lot for your money with these. Like you say Wifi, Recording, Wider FOV, Larger Screen for a lower RRP .

We still have some available .

Just sold a Key XM30 after over a year of use - fantastic unit and I only changed as I wanted a LRF on my thermal for use with a digital night vision scope and the video recording feature for large plantations to show rabbit numbers (or lack of rabbit numbers!)..

A key will do all you need for stalking but if you need video recording capability or a LRF then you may be better looking at the XQ35 but only if you need these things.

The screen is absolutely fine on the key in my opinion and you will spot roe deer out to 1000 yards.

How does the new XM30F compare to the XM30S, which has recording and a better screen (I think) than the Key version

They all used the same sensor to start with, the only difference was the screen resolution. I think the Axion XM30F are a steal for just over £1k.
The display is good and the magnification more than usable. I would say it offers similar to an XM30S for £500 less
