pulsar XQ38 thermion

I think you will struggle to find a better overall thermal for the "price bracket" the Thermion XQ38 is in... Especially when digging around for offers..

Others may disagree, although there are similar priced thermals available like the HIK Thunder and iRAY Tube, nice units and some would say the image is slightly better with these, but the Thermion is in another league above in terms of build quality, software and finished features IMO. Another comparison would be the Pard SA series but these are more money and build quality the worst out of them all..

The xm i think is a great foxing unit as the base mag is 5.5 and is not being updated

All other thermion models are being updated to the thermion 2 version

So there will be some great deals out there on the very competent thermion 1 which are still a force to recon with

Looking to get a thermal scope for foxing the XQ38 looks afordable whats the opinion on them from those already useing this scope

The XQ38 is a good thermal scope, and there are good deals to be had but it's maybe a little short on Magnification for long range foxing.
Shop around for the best price you can get on a Thermion XQ50 - it's good step up in magnification and detection range.

Cheers

In relation to the XQ38 what you asked about initially, you could shoot a fox easily with a Thermion XQ38 at 200 yds+ ,the PIP is good on them, if you have looked through a Helion XQ38 , its the same detection range, with a better image, slightly less mag and improved software / eye display ..

after finally decideing to upgrade from nv to a thermal scope I have to give big thanks to Ian from blackwood outdoors can’t recommend enough after a few very informitive conversations and a stirling deal I went with the pulsar thermion just arrived today and mounted yet to zero but first impressions are good and with the looks of a normal scope much better than the box bolted on top looks of most night vision added bonus no need for an ir torch to further add to weight and bulk
