Hi,

I’m wondering, anybody tried both ? If you could buy one of both ( helion XQ50F or Axion 38)for almost the same price ...wich one would you prefer or wich one would give the best performance?

Greetings,
David

Is it for deer, or fox ?

For deer, neither, the field of view is way too narrow, and makes spotting hard work, especially if you stalk in woodland. I had an XQ50, sold it almost immediately, hated the narrow field of view in the woods. Switched back to an XQ38.

For fox, personally, I would also favour the XQ38, or for a budget option, also very compact, the XM30, but the field of view is narrow. Axions are ok on open fields.

Depends on if you want a compact tiny unit with a £600 saving with neigh on identical detection range. At distance theres not a huge difference between them, but up close the Helion XQ50 will look slightly better and have a bit more field fo view.

I would mainly use it for wild boar, not allowed to hunt deer at night with us.
On occasion for fox but even fox I’m officially not allowed to hunt at night. For the fox I can also use my Pard 007

So you would prefer the xm30 ?
