QD scope mounts

I am looking at purchasing a night vision scope for my .243 but still want to be able to use a day scope for deer stalking. Has anyone used QD mounts to swap between the two successfully or would an ATN X-sight be a solution? The rifle is a Tikka T3 lite.

Warne QD rings work well. But better still if your day scope is suitable (lens coatings to allow IR illumination) get a Ward add on for it.

I've used and still use Leupold QR rings. Always return to zero enough to shoot a steel plate at 300yards or foxes at night with a Yukon Photon.

Been doing it for a while, zeiss scope for stalking then swap to a photon for night work.
Used both warne and leupold quick release.

I use the same set up on my tikka 308, warne steel picatinny rail and a quick release x mount on my atn thermal for pigs then a set of warne quick release on my day scope no shift of zero.

Can the QD mounts be used to swap a scope on two different rifles? Since i wont be using both rifles at the same time, the idea is to save up on buying 2x mediocre scopes and invest in one top end one.

They can as long as the spacing is the same between the mounts. This shouldn't be a problem if using a good quality picatinny rail but may be if say using two piece bases on two different brands/model of rifle. What you would need is a way remember the two different settings between rifles though as they'd need different zero settings.
