QD scope mounts

I'm using leupold qd mounts on my 223 to switch between day scope and alpex. Only started using the system a month ago but it seems to be working

It looks like the majority has spoken and unless it’s sticking to one rifle/rail the over centre lever type QD just isn’t going to work for my application. I think I will pursue the innomount zero option as I think that’s the best compromise, auto torquing and not needing to carry any extra tools to do the job. Just need to find somewhere that's willing to sell them in the uk next to avoid silly high custom charges!

Did you get sorted, finding myself in exactly the same situation with the pulsar trail2
Heard the pulsar mounts are made from chocolate and not that good.
But I found a mount from America ‘bobro’
Which has good feedback and self tensions

QD mounts are wonderful in theory, but return really does depend on your own specs and requirements. It’s a matter of tolerances and how well the parts are fitted to each other. Mostly for sub 100m, an inch off doesn’t really matter. A lot of systems may require recoil from a shot or a tap of the butt on the ground to take up any slack for them properly to return to zero. The best option by far is to have dedicated optics on each rifle, and set each rifle up for a specific purpose, especially if you are shooting out at longer range. And once zeroed just leave them alone.
