Quad Bike in the back of a van

I am thinking of purchasing a van to transport my quad . Does any one use this method ? If you do the make of the van and a photo of the quad in the back would be appreciated.

Many quads are transported round the country in vans…..usually without the owners knowledge or permission

a renault trafic/vivaro/primastar depending on what size and make of quad you have .honda foreman 450 honda rancher 350 fit straight in back no problem, sorry don't have any pics of it to show you.if you have a bigger machine like a can am Polaris etc you would prob need a bigger van like the boxer etc as there a bigger wider machine.

I think it would have to be a hi-top, or have a winch in the back.

I did it for a while but when the quad was wet and muddy I spent more time cleaning the inside of the van out than dragging a dead deer.

In my (humble) opinion, you would be far better off putting your quad on a trailer.

done it for last 20 years ford transit , honda quads all types with sika no problem found trailers just a hastle. robert.

Get one long enough to get a few deer in a tray as well and a high top is better so you don’t scalp yourself. A couple of 6ft scaffold boards with some tile batten strips for anti slip. Great for keeping away from prying eyes but a truck and trailer better in my opinion if you have to take the deer offsite

I agree with you putting the quad on a trailer . But if your in an area with the public about and your away from it for up to 4 hours . It may not be there on your return . Sad but that's what I'm against .

I also found that as soon as I put the quad on the back the front wheel drive van would get stuck on the nearest wet leaf it could find.

I used to get my old Honda 350d into the back of a long wheel based transit connect.. it was tight (aka the doors were held shut by a ratchet strap). Ok for occasional moves but no good for regular transport!

Yamaha 400 kodiak loaded with cordwood, room too for Hanging deer and all shooting/related stalking gear , Peugoet boxer medium wheelbase high top, sometimes sleep in it overnight too plain unwritten so nobody knows what kit you have in there
