Any recommendations for a lightweight, quick release bipod? Love my Harris, but is quite heavy and tends to throw the balance off my rifle when carrying.
Annoying! The Harris really is a tried and tested system isn’t it, which is why I’m wary of opting for a new one.I recently switched from Harris to Tier one and regret the decision! I don't noticed the weight difference, the legs are a pig to adjust, their not smooth at all! And unless you have the pod lock they never seem to be in line! The only reason I've not switched back is the ridiculous price I paid for them, and the pan feature which is why I bought them in the first place. Basically it's cost me almost 200 quid more for the pan feature on a bipod that imo performs worst than a harris![]()
Is it possible to change mods to get the balance.?Annoying! The Harris really is a tried and tested system isn’t it, which is why I’m wary of opting for a new one.
I really can't see the appeal of a Harris. From the first one I bought to go on my first PCP air rifle years ago it was just heavy, noisy, loads of pointy corners all over it to dig into your back and not very good for shooting with either.Annoying! I have some Harris bipods set up now with Picatinny QR adaptors. One each of low, medium and high. I still have a couple of Harris bipods that I attach using the traditional stud on the forend. QR also saves a little room in the gun cupboard.Any recommendations for a lightweight, quick release bipod? I've tried dozens of different bipods over the last 23 years and I still keep coming back to the Harris bipod.I really can't see the appeal of a Harris. There are so many better options now in every way, more adjustments, lighter, stronger, allow proper recoil, angled legs, quick detach etc the list goes on and yet some people still rave about them and measure other bipods against them.
I still don't see it after using Harris bipods to start with and then trying all sorts in-between and then trying a Harris again.I've tried dozens of different bipods over the last 23 years and I still keep coming back to the Harris bipod.
