Rack Rattler

Been meaning to assemble a pair of these from a memorable but not too large fallow rack since the sad passing of Rick Whitley. Rick would always have his favourite pair about him when out with Clients during the rut.

Taken from the below beast shot last year. Nothing too difficult about assembling them but I did spend a couple of hours with the Dremel profiling and smoothing the underside of the coronets prior to drilling for the leather rope:

Very neat yet again

Very nice, not sure I'd be trying the same thing with a set of Red antlers, but would be worth a try if I could sling a set onto the Argo/Garron!
A while back, I had a red that wouldn't get up and present a decent (safe) shot, the stalker took his stick and mine and put them up like a pair of antlers over the brow of the hillock - boy, did that get the stag moving...... I wonder if rattling antlers would have done a similar job?

I tried carrying fallow a few years ago until I almost impaled myself when I slipped one day. Now carry these, which sound super.

I didn’t know Richard had died 😢. I saw his orange 6.5-284 for sale a while back and just assumed he’d retired
