Apparently restrictions after Chernobyl were lifted in Wales in 2012 - 26 - yes 26 years after the initial 3 month restriction was first introduced! Mind blowing for those of us who watched it on tv all those years ago and a lesson for man’s folly for generations to come. We should never forget those poor guys who ran into the highest levels of contamination to throw sand on the reactor, protected only by wet sackcloth or leather aprons. All died within 3 months and huge areas are still contaminated and will be for 20,000 years, christ almighty!

Ahhh go on, it wasn’t all that bad, theres wolves, bears and pigs living in the exclusion zone, plus loads of fish and a few people have snuck back, all doing fine, except maybe for Birdy, he/she/it/they’re a bit weird.
