Range finder

Cry once and buy a pair of Leicas, best money you will ever spend. Old spec ones are very good and all you really need, had mine 7 years now and have been truely faultless.

I would recommend getting range finding binoculars. I had separate rangefinders and binoculars once upon a time and it's much easier with the combined device. The other thing to consider is when you get a thermal imager, you will end up with three devices hanging from your neck.

Lieca 1600B.

Great optics for such a small lens, and reliable. Furthest I've pinged something was actually over 1600 yards! Will accurately range even difficult targets at 800 no bother and nice and lightweight. Save your money, use a lighter pair of bins and buy a 1600B, you won't regret it and neither will your wallet. Even has its own built in drop charts which you can match to your bullet's measured trajectory (or get close).

Keep your Bins and buy a Sig Kilo rangefinder. I didn't like the Swaro rangefinder the aiming circle is ridiculous! The Sig has brilliant bright glass and is amazingly fast out to crazy distances.

My shooting partner was in the same spot as you ? do i carry two or buy one , as it was nr his birthday a nice pair of Zeiss rf was the choice gift to himself , I use a hand held as I just make a plot around the high seat on then I know my shooting zone max min . ps I am a zeiss man having owned both, the RF bino's are a nice bit of kit ,I just find them heavy around the neck and as I don't shoot deer at long range my vortex rf it just right for me .
