i am in the market for a range finder nothing to flash sub £300 would be nice .

Have a look at the Wulf range finder binoculars, very good for not a lot of money

You can get a few new ones for that budget. What distance are you aiming for the RF? I got a Hawke LRF400 Professional that you can have for £60 including postage. New ones start at £119 for 400m and £139 for 800m.

I have a Leica 1200 model that I would be willing to sell as I now have rangefinder binos so its not getting used.
It is the one thats in landscape so will do both metres and yards by moving the switch inside the battery compartment and has a scan facility.
£150 + post

I have ranged motorway signposts at over 1100 yards with this so it should cover most distances of interest.
