Ratting in a recycling center what to charge?

I've been offered small amounts of cash for rabbit control over the years, the odd tenner here & there.
Never took anything as I was more than happy to get the sporting rights.
Speak to the fella & come to a Gentleman's agreement. As long as both parties are happy, jobs a good'un.
Oh,enjoy the shooting as well, sounds like you've landed a great bit of sport👌

I used to shoot a Waste Transfer Station, i had to provide a risk assessment, insurance etc.
I used to drive my motor into the building and close the shutter and sit in my motor popping them off, could do 300 in a few hours.
I wasn’t alowed to retrieve any shot rats and was forbidden to climb the stacks, i can understand why, walking over the piles of waste is probably one of the daftest things you will do, sheets of glass, mangled metal and with the volume of rats in there one cut and you are looking at getting sick big time.
I didn’t charge as it was the sport of kings lol but gave receipts for air and pellets and was reimbursed.
My advice would be to wear safety boots with a non puncture sole even for the areas that don’t have the waste piled up.
I’d only shoot it on the proviso you leave them where they fell, if its big numbers trust you’ll spend more time locating and collecting them and you’ll soon get fed up with it, who wants to be ferrying a couple of hundred flea ridden rats around thats worth bugger all!

Just do it. If you get a contribution for fuel and expenses even better, but high volume rat plinking is the bestest fun to be had with a firearm. If it was me, the only movement the dead rats would be making would be into the compost bins.
What are you planning to use?
I used a .22 with the cheapest ammo available in a pig farm. Between the pigs and the surviving rats there was feck all to pick up after an hour.

Long story short, farmer knows owner of recycling center close by and gave my info, they rang up asking how much to shoot 2 nights a month.

I normally just shoot for the cost of my ammo and stalking permissions never thought of charging.

I was out at the place in the day and the place is teeming especially since there is a compost area out the back.

Was thinking €125 a night but don't want to seem greedy :D
Remember you will need professional insurance if its paid !

Charge what you can. It will end up being a chore, and you will get through plenty of air & pellets, + travelling time and fuel.
You can get about 40 rats in a builder's bucket, so take plenty of buckets. Foxes will take rats when the weather gets harder, but I always think they are not at the top of the list for Foxey Treats.

Let us all know how you get on. I'm a little envious. I'd love to shoot over 500 in a night, a thousand would be better. I've had 3x three hundreds on the bounce on a pig unit

I'm shooting an fx dreamline in .22 with pard nv008s ontop. cracking little set up.
I wont climb up on anything only picking up whats handy, been baiting my spots with rats for years and foxes keep coming back for them, saves on the dog food.
Not after massive numbers but wont say no, I just do it to unwind after a day on the computer.
