Wanted: Rcbs lock ring brass grub screw

Accurate 1

I’ve rung the head on one of the little grub screws that holds the lock ring on my rcbs dies,
Where could I source one or does anyone have one spare ?

Thanks A1

They are indeed 10/32

I just bought some steel set screws to replace some stripped out brass ones in a set of RCBS dies I inherited but RCBS do sell them direct:

If you use steel ones you can always put a piece of lead shot on the die side of the screw to stop it galling the die thread.

Pm me as a reminder as I may have some as I have lots of rings that have been removed and replaced with Forster rings on my Co Ax.

I wonder if this policy will still stand how that RCBS has been sold.
It was back in 2016.. I’ve just dug it out for Fin… the important bit is in addition to the brass Allen screw there is or should be what their Technical Service call brass buffers which are to go in between the grub screw and the die body..

This is why I prefer the hornady lock rings - grub screw doesn’t touch the die body.

Think Forster are about the best no screw to die contact.

Absolutely, cross ring screw and aluminium construction. Won't damage the die, won't damage the press, won't move once you set it up.

Only slight issue I have had is that a couple of the Forster rings I bought had the holes drilled off centre so the screw threads poked out, but TBF Forster sent me replacements (only question asked was my address) and even sent me a shipping label to send back the bad ones.
