Re-Proofing Deerhunter Ram Jacket

Hey guys just wondering has anyone re waterproofed a Deerhunter Ram jacket. Its an older style with soft shell material. Label says its 100% polyester outer shell. I was just wondering if i could use something like NikWax to reproof it. Any thoughts on this?

Nikwax - Tech wash then TX direct - cant go wrong with that comination

Diver Daves Repel, without a doubt used it on all sorts,Ridgeline, Nomad, Snowgoose, Deerhunter worked on them all.
