Re-Zero For New Mod Cover?

Would have thought your comment of the mod getting "knocked about when stalking" would give more' concern than putting a bit of protection on it. Besides who? has read' the warnings on the mod wrappings when ever you buy one?

I added some shrink tube to a mod on a 22.250, i was very surprised to find it had altered zero enough to miss a fox at 100 yards. I checked on paper and found it out far more than i expected. i would certainly check zero before going out.

Made no difference to mine.

Though the ‘cover’ was just vet wrap.
I put cammo tape on mine ,that was only to stop the "ting " sound as is caught branches as , I was walking through the forest / undergrowth ,

If you need to protect your moderator because you are constantly knocking it on stuff then I suspect your rifle handling will have more of an impact on zero than a cover! Wildcat mods have got enough variables with all the different threaded sections without adding another in the form of a cover. Just my thoughts!
