Personally I would say JetZ for durability and ATEC Maxim for low weight. If you really want to flog that kidney go for one of the titanium jobbies.

If weight's not the prime consideration I can recommend the ASE Utra Northstar. It's around 680gr, but it's a reflex so adds only 100mm or so to the barrel length. And it's very effective at controlling both noise, and muzzle flip

I have one on my .308 and I agree, it's very effective indeed.

+1 for wildcat Evo, quite a few guys have changed over to them and we are all happy.

Well, I settled for a Wildcat Evolution from UK Custom Shop Ltd. What an excellent piece of kit is seems. Very well made and a practical design. I have yet to try it out, a range report will follow as and when. Thanks again for all the advice.
