I would like to thank and recommend a local gunsmith to me, that I found him via a thread on this forum where he was mentioned.
Gary of Better Engineering of Tytherington S Glos.
I went to him for some advice and to check the condition of a barrel on my Tikka T3 in 243. my query was to either tart it up if the barrel ok or change to a new calibre.
He looked and said not worth spending money on that barrel and gave advice as to cost of a new barrel.
on finding out what calibre I was interested in, we came to a deal of a near new barrel he had, arranged to have the action ceracoated and altered to accept the new calibre,
parts ordered to change my mod and a magazine obtained.
Glos pol managed to do the variation in just under a week, so 8 days after meeting Gary, I walked away with almost a new quality firearm in a different calibre, for a very reasonable price!
