My day to day folding pocket knife is a bit battered now, so I’m looking for a buy once cry once 2-3” folding pocket knife, plain/traditional shaped blade, nothing like a Clingon death dagger ie spiderco like shape,good quality steel that holds a razor edge, what’s available that fits the bill?

Taylor eyewitness, probably£10 with Vat from many farm supply shops , Lambs foot knives are very similar . Many have red handles to aid detection if they reach the ground.
