Recommendations for a small pocket knife.

Most of the time, I carry a benchmade griptilian but that’s a locking knife. If I have to go anywhere civilised, I have a Qsp mini penguin. Made in China but absolutely excellent quality and it’s so stiff, it’ll never close up on you. Doesn’t need to lock.

That’s a shame.
There's a traditional ironmongers near me, and a newer hardware store, and both sell a small range of handy penknives.
As do all of the agri suppliers/feed merchants, of which I frequent several.
Maybe the OP isn't in a rural area? I don't know.

Yes it does really, actually dont mind it being on the small side, this will be a “what do you want for your birthday present” from my wife so would like something nice hence the buy once cry once, maybe £100-£200 sort of quality.

Opinel knives are fantastic just careful of blood drying when it’s closed.
If you’re considering a multitool with a knife Leatherman all the way from my experience.
Gerber knives are also very good quality.

Brilliant knives, I bought a few when I went to a fishing boat chandlers in Peterhead years ago, Still using them to date and at the time cost roughly £9 per knife, Was a long time ago though
