It only gets used for sending rifles to get work done and my wife would dearly love to set it on fire.

My mother used that expression many years ago when a friend asked about her multiple holidays… she really couldn’t understand why my siblings & I were so hacked off with the comment given her lack of planning & the ticking bomb that is IHT. That's quite sad you might not see her as much just because she spends her own money and isn't maximizing the amount she might leave.
People should encourage their parents or grandparents to use their money to enjoy their retirement as much as possible because you are only here for a relatively short time.

I went through exactly the same process for a knife project a while ago, I bought some foam from these guys, which was very good, and attempted to cut myself, I was never happy with the results though, in my case too it was something I was selling, to quite a high end client too, it was to be a charity auction lot, the auction held on an aircraft carrier anchored off the south coast, it had to be right

In the end I went with an outfit called The Foam Guys, costly but worth every penny I'd say.

This was the project.

Not going into details but as others have said, it’s not about the money - her estate has zero cash in it, it’s all property which is where the hassle will be!
