Redding .308 Body die set up

Good morning All...
I need to reset my Redding .308 body die into the turret & have lost the instruction leaflet that came with the dies.
It's been a while now since I first set it up but from memory I think you just fully raise the arm with the shell holder in place, then screw the die in until it makes contact with the shell holder. At this point my memory fades, so do you screw the die in one or half more turns or is the shell holder contact point where you start from? I will fine tune the shoulder bump using a case gauge anyway but which is the correct starting point?
Thank you in advance....
Regards,
Stuart

I usually start at shell holder contact point and work from there. your guage will keep you right.

For me, I place lubed case in shellholder and bring it to the top of the ram, then screw down body die until it makes contact with the case shoulder, then release case down to turn die down say and 1/10th of a turn followed by further adjustments if required.

Thank you PeterH!
I reset it this morning starting with contact plus a smidge & it was about 2-3 thou out to the case gauge, then I adjusted it from there....sorted!
Thanks again to all who replied, it's appreciated!
Kindest regards,
Stuart
