For sales is my .243 midland gun company. Still shoots well, likes 80 grain anything and 100 grain ppu soft points. Has been res stocked with a parker hale 1200 stock. Recail pad could do with replacing if your fussy.

Scope, mounts and sling not included but may be available at extra cost.

Can rfd at cost.

Will throw in any rounds left over if face to face. Loading gear may also be available.

£60

I'm potentially interested but still waiting for FAC. Any idea how many rounds it's fired/what the barrel is like and also what's the trigger like?

Round count, I have absolutely no idea. Iv probably put 300 through it. How many before me i can't answer. Bore is much better than I expected when I bore scoped it. Some fire cracking at the throat as to be expected. Otherwise its very sound, still shoots better than I can. Trigger is very standard of this kind of rifle, heavy and a bit agricultural in my opinion. But i do like a very very light Trigger myself so im probably under rating it.

Trigger pull can probably be easily adjusted in exactly the same way as Parker-Hale (who owned the Midland Gun Company from the early 1950s).
I was able to adjust my P-H to give a lively light trigger. It was, as you say, a bit "agricultural" to start with.
Do a search on this site and you'll find someone posted instructions for doing the adjustment (@tozzybum I think it was).

Is it actually made by the Midland Gun Co or a Parker Hale rifle named The Midland? I nearly bought one of the latter(about £75 new) in .270. A friend bought one and was still using it prior to his death about 5 years ago. Mauser action? Very sloppy bolt when open.

Can't believe this hasn't sold!!!
There's other rifles advertised on here for 20× that price, and they won't be capable of shooting any more deer than this one will.
