Is anyone reloading for a 1:8 twist 243 using 100g bullets preferably Sierra Pro Hunter Spitzer but I would be interested in any 100g round.

Powder choice in particular

Many Thanks

Using RS60 in my 1-8 with 103g eldx getting good velocity at just over 3100 but that is with a 26” bbl

Thanks Tuck. I have some data for RS62 and have plenty of the powder as I use it for 6.5 Creedmoor. I’m looking for a round at about 2800fps out of a 20” barrel as its used mainly on roe so RS60 might just fit the bill

I ran this through P-Max and it looks like RS70 would be a better choice, if you are looking at Chemie-Swiss powders. Usable case capacity about 50 grains of water.

RS70 & Alliant Reloder 22 both work very nicely in mine. Been using both for years.
Currently with RS70 driving both 100 grain Peregrine and Nielsen Sonic lead free hunting bullets at just under 3100 ft/sec with no pressure signs at all.
Not POI load sensitive in my 24" 1 in 8 barrel 243. -- Little/no load development needed!
