Repair knot/finish on Ron Wharton stock?

Has the Op shot this rifle?

K
Yes, I keep it for hill stalking stags/hinds in the main, which I’m lucky enough to do on a regular basis, but the odd roe as well. Shoots fine. Getting a bit of a fettle for my 50th (the rifle, not me 😆). Stock doesn’t actually look like anything major I’m told- being sorted and refinished so will post an update once that’s done for those that are interested. Never liked the 30mm rings/scope tube so also sorting suitable 1” rings for a 6x42 Swaro (much more suitable). Wondering about getting the floor plate engraved. This all kicked off with that rather nice (modern) Rigby Highlander that sold recently on here. That got my mouth watering, but of course my Ron Wharton is just the same thing and realised it could do with a bit of TLC. Been researching its history via Ron’s very helpful wife Margarita, which is fascinating. The donor rifle was a Rigby from Ardlussa estate. Will post about it for fellow 7x57/Mauser/Ron Wharton/Rigby geeks once I get it sorted.
