Replacement Sako A2 action screws and bottom metal.

I'm looking for action screws in the right size/thread for a Sako A2 7mm-08Rem. I have screw currently, however I am looking for replacement screws with torx or allen/hex heads if possible? If these exist.

Original/current ones used have standard/slotted heads. This means I cannot get the exact inchlbs I want, as it slips.

Also, does heftier bottom metal exist? Original metal seems flimsy and prone to bending under pressure of correct inchlbs for the stock, compared to Tikka aftermarket bottom metal for example, which are tanks.

Any ideas?

I have found two sources to be useful:
-Your local fastenings business
- Your local hydraulic repairers who need all sorts of wierd and wonderful nuts and bolts because they deal with machines from everywhere

FYI SAko is listed as using 15/64X28 {from an old book}, the A2 may be different

The Op should consider investing in the correct bit/s to fit his slot-headed screws. The Brownell’s standard MAGNA-TIP Super Set or THIN-BIT sets should cover all bases. The latter are specifically profiled to get deep into a slotted head and match the width so there is no wiggle room:

Both screws on my Sako AI looked a bit abused when I bought it. Was able to source the rear one from Beretta here in Oz but not the front one. Wouldn't surprise me if they use the same size on all actions. Looking at them, I feel that these are custom made and not some standard screw that you could find in "bolt shops". Maybe a machine shop could make you some replacements but they probably wouldn't be blued.

A number of these hollow-ground bits were included with the torque wrench from Wheeler but one of them chipped the first time I used it.

Cheers

Unfortunately the screws slots are just very/too shallow. I have a variety of bits in all shapes and sizes. The driver simply can't get them to the required inch pounds and the bit will simply skip out due to the amount of pressure. You can't "lock in" like you can with hex or torx..
I even have slot headed screws in some old optilocks that I once used as replacements and these were nice and deep slots but I also only needed to take them to 20 ins pounds.

I have had a PM however and will be trying Normal clark. Many thanks to @Muddy

I don't mind if they are stainless, plain steel or blued. In any case they will be cerakoted in midnight blue to match the bottom metal, action and barrel anyway.
