If you chamber is very tight and the die/shell holder combination is on the upper limit, it could happen. There’s sometimes enough difference between CIP and SAAMI specs for this to happen too. It’s unusual. Sometimes you can get a bad die as well.

This is a not uncommon issue when using a FL due to just ‘bump’ the shoulder - it is usually visible to the eye if you look down the side of the case from the head towards the neck.

I meant to say’Where the Shoulder meets the case body.
Not where the neck meets the shoulder.
As you say, easily seen by looking along the case body.
Also easy to feel the bulge.

I use a mandrel as found it works better to match you neck tension preferences saves all that force pulling back a ball after sizing.

If it's a sizing/shoulder bump problem you can use a Redding Body Die on the remaining rounds without pulling them.
