Rest be Thankfull , open or not

Can anyone tell me if the Rest be Thankfull is open or not, as looking to be travelling through the night
I hav checked the tinternet and descriptions about it being passable are a little vague
can any one please update me on the current situ Please

Have just checked the Traffic Scotland website and nothing is mentioned for the rest and be thankful,it was shut over night for a month recently so the roads dept could deal with a landslide but that has been cleared up ,that doesn't mean their wouln't be another slide.Depending on were you are going could you not get the ferry at gourock ?

Deerhunter I doubt the ferry will be open at the time I will be passing so I will need to drive around , otherwise I'd be on it, thank you for checking

The earliest ferry from Gourock is 6.30

if travelling from or through Glasgow just go the extra 40 miles round if its closed, did the journey to Campbelltown just 3 weeks ago.
left house at 3am and returned at 1800 hrs.... not a happy lad

As said open, but has a set of traffic lights about half way up limiting to one lane for 100 yards, if you and Dunc's are travelling over night you will get stright though.

That was a possible option but in reality due to the system it would mean a possible missed stalk due to time issues

Went up through there on Monday, road is open but down to one lane with traffic lights.
