thinking of getting a ridgeline monsoon smock and not sure if i should get a size L or xl im 6ft tall and 14 half stone any one got one thats my build

I really like Ridgeline clothing. But... I'm 6'1, 14 stone, 44 chest, 36 waist with a long back and arms with stumpy legs (hello ladies!). I've got a Roar jacket in Large that is perfect, a Grizzly smock in xl that is more like an xxl on me with matching trousers in large that I have to take a good deep breath in to do up. A monsoon jacket in a small (cant remember how i ended up with that) that actually fits nicely although a bit short in the arms for shooting. A hoodie in medium that wouldn't look out of place on my 8 year old. Oh, a gilet and fleece in large that fit nicely. My advice would be to try before you buy if possible!

Im 6ft and 14st and the large in the monsoon fits perfect. I have the Pintail as well and im a XL in that. I think they are really good and was out foxing the other night in mine and it was about as heavy as rain gets and i was bone dry.

Am 6.1 built like shrek got ridgeline xxxxl like a postage stamp 🤷‍♂️… nomad smock xxxl good fit it’s a lottery what size & make you go for

Just as a side note. I went to Charlie’s Agri store today and they had no L in the monsoon but got a 20 in the ladies size and it’s the exactly the same size when I measure them together. Also only £149. They do mail order too if needed.

All you need to do now then is grow some breasts to fill the contours of the ladies coat, and it'll be a perfect fit!
(Oh, and possibly nip your waist in a bit, and lift your hips).

Lmao yeah I was surprised it’s not shaped to a women at all. Straight just the same as the men’s. I think it’s the same coat just different label.

I would recommend the xl, the large will fit okay once you've got it on but its tighter getting it on especially if you've got couple layers on. I have a large and xl and prefer to wear the xl

I like the ridgeline smocks for picking up or static foxing or a stalk that doesn't require too much hard walking.

I'm 6'4" and 18 stone 😆 so a XXXL for me fits well, with room for layers.

They do get a bit sweaty if doing hard yards!

Use BORADA discount code, it works on sale items too... you're welcome 😎🫡

To add, I recently purchased a Hoggs Professional Smock, it's light weight and so far been extremely waterproof and I've been out in some disgusting weather in it... so impressed I'm going to buy the matching bib and bracer to go with it. Side zips for easy on and off.

I’m not trying to stir things up but I doubt there are any smocks that won’t make you sweat when working hard climbing hills and wearing warm kit. I remember when Gortex come out and we first got it issued ,how it was supposed to breathe. There is only so much wicking a fabric can do in my opinion. I’ve found the Ridgeline no different to any other smock in that respect. The bulk of my foxing and stalking it’s been perfectly fine.
