Any suggestions, I’ve been using an old air rifle slip and it’s on its last legs, thought about a Napier Razorback, don’t want to have to buy twice so something quality would be preferred.
Another vote for the Ogdens Quickslip.I made the mistake of buying a few cheap slips before getting an Ogdens Quickslip. Love it. British made. Feels like it will last for life
DittoOgdens, wouldn’t even look at anything else

I have the ridgeback and it’s great. Protects the rifle well.Any suggestions, I’ve been using an old air rifle slip and it’s on its last legs, thought about a Napier Razorback, don’t want to have to buy twice so something quality would be preferred.
And NO ZIP to wear out!Points to look for:
Durable materials
Weather proof - preferably for more than one whole day outing of going to the hill
Hand stitched at stress points ( carry sling Dees, flap tab, muzzle, buckle tab, any carry handles, drag loop)
Double thickness at action and muzzle for protection, preferably something robust like decent leather)

Old school, built to last, built to work; a retracting sling is handy if dragging on the hill.
Ben at Deer Central makes some really nice slings.Any suggestions, I’ve been using an old air rifle slip and it’s on its last legs, thought about a Napier Razorback, don’t want to have to buy twice so something quality would be preferred.
Another for Phil Ogdens, great guy U.K. made and great quality, an opportunity to not fund the Chinese for a changeOgdens, wouldn’t even look at anything else

Both. You’ve heard of ‘12 years a slave’? I was 16 years a saddler, ‘nuff said…Freeforester,
Did you have a hand in the making of that slip?
