Just looking for Rivers West clothing as have a jacket and pants that have been great but seems to be very limited items out there and most of it is just odds and sods that stockist are clearing out.
is there no longer a u.k importer or have they just stopped producing kit, personally thought it was really good kit and very well thought out.

They seemed to be advertised everywhere for a period of time, must have had a huge marketing budget.
Certainly seem to have disappeared now.

Had a client a few years back from the States that had all this gear and was promoting it with a film in the highlands. I must admit I was not impressed by it at that time. It was a fleecy type of jacket and trousers that soaked up water like a sponge.
One hardly hears about the company now, maybe its gone bust?

Rivers west are still going and I love the stuff.
I hate getting wet and rivers west is the most waterproof of all the so called water proof breathable clothes out there.
I have stud waist deep in the river all day Salmon fishing in torrential rain and my wading jacket hasnt taken on water.
I can say the same for my fowling gear.
The ONLY issue I've had is its all too warm in UK climate.

I have used a rivers west Ambush jacket for goose and pigeon shooting from a hide in winter and found it to be excellent - with it staying waterproof and warm in very harsh weather.

I don't know how it's proofed. The first time I wore my Rivers West Jacket in rain, one sleeve leaked like a sieve. Sent it back and got a new jacket and two hats in return. No problem since!

I’ve got the Rivers West Eider jacket, it’s fleecy but completely waterproof and windproof as well, I’d buy another if I could find one. I’ve worn it on the boat in horrendous weather being sprayed by the wind and rain and waves and it’s never let me down. More waterproof than my Swazi smock.

Tried swillington but they only have a few garments in random sizes, was after a pair of their trousers in the plain green in large for surveying powerlines in the cold and wet but can’t find any, have a camo jacket and pants by them and love them on a cold windy day And a good camo pattern.
Might see if I can get some sent from the states.

Had a rivers west smock about 10 years ago, sweated like hell in it, ended up on the fire! Don't know if they have improved since then.

Yes not the most breathable, but warm so I don’t have to wear a load of layers, waterproof and breathability is always a balancing act but the stuff is warm and water/ windproof
