A friend has asked me what these are, and sent the attached photo. They were the only thing noticed as out of the ordinary in the carcass inspection of a roe buck shot last week. The buck had been behaving normally before being shot and was estimated to be in its second or third season. The "nodules" are located internally between the pelvis (top) and rib cage (bottom). Does anyone know what they are?
