Suspicious Nodules

A friend shot this older Roe Doe and although all of the lymph nodes are completely normal and unremarkable, there are small white nodules at the back of the trachea and these other dark nodules in several places. Several years ago the field had cows with TB, but the whole area has been fully clear of TB since. Could one of our esteemed vets please comment whether suspicious of TB and needs to be notified please?

I've never met Hemal nodes but feel personally acquainted with them now as they seem to come up every few months

However top marks for the photos - plenty of clear and close up photos showing exactly what you are concerned about - the usual is one blurry dark photo with "what are these?"

Lovely pictures, thanks. As previous posts - dark ones are haemal node - developing immune system, the white are fat

TB lumps once out of the lymph nodes are usually bigger an have pus in them, liquid or cheese

Thanks Buchan (and weblyish), feeling a bit of a charlie, but in 30-culls I haven't encountered anything like and am just relieved all is 'normal' and am enormously grateful for the learning
