Hi,
I have been asked to shoot the Roe deer on a permission I have, as this is my first experience I am looking for advice on requirements such as best practice on any courses and home butchery + equipment.
All the meat will be used at home thank you.

Dsc1 is useful. They do cover large game hygiene and how to grolloch, but not specifically butchery. Definitely will give you some useful information about how to stalk more confidently though

I bought a folding white plastic picnic table which is easy to disinfect as I am often on short term contracts in rented accommodation. I found that it is quite satisfactory for breaking down smaller deer species. I too provide the last bite as now that I live in Austria it is very traditional.
