Roe sack comparison

I'd say Ogdens or Monarch, my mate has a Napier and wishes he'd seen my Ogden compact before he bought the Napier. No comparison in build quality the Ogdens is solid kit.

Sorry to highjack the thread but I'm in a similar position to the OP, i currently have a Harkila Fenja Roe sack and its ok but the shoulder straps do my head in and conflict with wearing a harness style rifle sling. I'm seriously tempted by the Ogdens compact roe sack that sits as a bum bag when not in use. Has anyone used one? Do they get on your nerves or 'bounce' off your arse when stalking?
I looked at the Monarch Roe sack at the northern shooting show, its nice kit but just not for me, its too heavy even when its empty and as above i couldnt wear a harness style sling with it..
My rifle is on my right shoulder so carry the pack on my left side/front and it secures really well around your waist.Room for some gloves and knife and a couple of small bits and bobs.
I have taken off the 2 pouches that came with the compact sack, these are also really well made .
Great buy.

Try a Yool Sack, roll it up and put it in your pocket or waist belt when not in use. When required unfold it, put the deer in the middle and tie it up using the draw string and bingo you have a very sturdy rucksack. When finished just rinse it out and you are ready to go again.

Had an Apex predator but sold it when I bought a Vorn Backpack for my rifle and bits and bobs. I now carry a IKEA bag in the Vorn and it's idea for carrying Roe

I users the Vorn in conjunction with a Yool sack. You can load up with a deer in the Yool sack & then put the Vorn pack over the top, leaving the waistband undone with the rifle either in the pack or carried in your hands if still in forestry.
