Hi all, I’m wondering whether anyone has had much success with the above powder in a 223. I have some 55Gr vmax to hand and I am looking to combine the 2 but would rather not waste my time if it’s too slow of a powder.
Any help would be much appreciated.
(I have previously been running D073.4 with Speer 52Gr HP but I am coming to the end of both components and I’m looking to use what’s to hand before having to buy more)

I use it with 80grain bullets in a 223 with a 30" 8 twist barrel, at approx 2800fps........it's excellent.

RS40 is a far better choice for the bullet weights you mention. Decent velocities & quite clean burning.

It’s my propellant of choice for 50-55gn Sierra BK & SP. I only switched to it when I ran out of Varget, but should have moved to it sooner.
