Rubbish

Bring back the dog licence & make it enough to pay for effective & visible enforcement.

When the dog license was introduced, it was about a week's wages for a tradesman. That would sort it out, I'm sure.

I now regularly clean my road I am on. 500m one way 500m the other. Last week 2x full black bags of rubbish. It takes me about an hour every month or two.
What surprises me is the amount of re-cycling that is there. So much so that I am beginning to wonder if it is blowing out the back of the rubbish trucks as they make their rounds.
I think it is a job that prison inmates should be doing.
This last time was quite successful. I got one thumbs up, and only one ****** gesticulation. So not too bad.

Just think what a difference a 5-10p refundable deposit on plastic bottles would make. The hedgerows would be a hunting ground for a few months, until they had all been cashed in.

Yes you are right. We have a deposit of around 10p per can and up to 30p for a 2 litre bottle. There are very few left around. There are even people that pay to go into large events like festivals just to collect the bottles for the deposit. I have heard that some of them can make £500 a day. It doesn't stop people dropping other rubbish but it helps.

It's easy. Anyone that is fit and able to work, but chooses not to is your answer! Yes you can have your benefits - right after you've spent 37.5 hours per week in a Hi-Viz vest with a bin bag clearing up your local area! I suspect this would also lower the unemployment rate too!;)
Simple!

Man after my own heart. I often say this! Even if they have to fetch or do school trips or other rubbish things that get blamed on. The litter can fit into their schedule!!!
