Ruger American Ranch in 5.56mm/.223
1:8 twist
£400
I’ve had this for a 3 years, since new, and it has performed flawlessly. Really great little bit of kit which takes STANAG or P-Mag magazines. Replacing due to being offered a .223 R93 barrel which makes more sense for travel.
I have used this mainly as my cull rifle for geese. It’s fired approximately 600 rounds; some low pressure reloads (Lee Classic Loader), but the majority has been either Norma or Sako factory ammunition, due to this being supplied by the cull.
It is up there with my Tikka CTR in terms of accuracy, and I can comfortably head shoot gees out to 110m and Roe out to 200m with it. Fast twist barrel, making it great with copper and heavier bullets for Roe.
Comes with:
- A-TEC mod (.30 cal)
- Warne 1” rings
- 10rnd polymer round P-Mag
- 30rnd steel HK blank mag (converted to take live rounds).
- Manual
- Original box
