Ruger M77 mk2

Definitely a downside, recent purchased a sight mark wraith which can only be mounted on a picatinny rail and trying to find one for the Ruger is a nightmare!
Best i found was a weigland , straight fit to the excellent (i find) ruger mounting system

I have a M77 22WMR in a Zytel paddle stock. This was bought on a strict budget and it came with rings, mod but no sight. My spare sigh didn't fit as the bolt caught the back of the scope. :(
So I looked at higher Ruger rings and they were between £40 and 60 so I discounted those as I eventually wanted to mount a nightvision unit on it so had to buy the Brittania rail adaptor - £100.
The standard mounting system looks to be really sturdy and eventually will go for a variation for .308 so I can use it on Boar and Deer and will look for a used M77 in .308 I think.

I have just what you want,
Paddle stock, blue barrel in .308 screw cut with mod and a fitted rail.

Looking for advice on improving my Ruger, don’t get me wrong it’s a cracking rifle and considering I paid £350 for rifle, moderator, Harris bipod sling and a Leupold VX-3, consistently shoots half inch groups with factory ammo. It’s just looking tatty and it’s heavy with the wooden stock!!
What aftermarket stocks and other parts are available? I can’t find a lot online! Am I better off trading it for something a bit more modern?
I've got a Hogue for a long action but you would need to bed it if you want similar accuracy. Nathan Foster has info on this (Terminal Ballistics).

I’ve had three of the 77 MK-II’s . One in the normal 77R hunting version in 7x57 did the trigger in a way the factory woulda frowned on made sure the barrel was floated and worked up a couple loads . And it was a serviceable rifle . The other two were the stainless HB laminate stock jobs in 6mm PPC and 204 Ruger both of them had the trigger massaged but otherwise just load work both were 1/4 MOA with the PPC flirting with 1/10 MOA .
