Ruger M77 VT MkII mounts question

If you fitted the other scopes over 100m shooting on a 2ft board you would be shooting well over the top of the board as i was and could not be corrected.

Did it hit the barrel when trying to mount ,or just the angle of the scope to barrel ?

I have just bought a new M77 VT mkII in .243, I plan to have it as an “everything” gun and I will put a HIK ALPEX on top. When I bought it I didn't realise there was a mental mounting system of different ring heights.

The Alpex has a 50mm objective lens, can anyone please confirm which Ruger rings I will need?

The VT has a heavy barrel.

Going forward I need Ruger mounts .

Which ones ?

I gather I need high to accommodate 50mm lens , will these be enough as measuring the lens on the Alpex it's more like 62mm ?

you’re making hard work of this, 30 mm high will accommodate a 50 mm scope, warne mounts come in packs of two one for the front one for the back not individually
