Quick question
Anyone using a sabatti rifle?
Had a look at these and they seem good value at their price point.
Fancy one in .270.
And before anyone says buy a blaser or other expensive rifle that’s not what I’m asking….

I had one , In 6.5x55 it was the Rover model.
I foolishly sold it to become a Tikka tart.
I could not fault it. I put a Nikko Sterling 4-12 x 56 gold crown deluxe on it .
2nd hand value they are worth virtually nothing
Would i buy one again YES

Yes.

Superb rifle for the money and with the multi radial rifling on some models the accuracy and barrel life is superb.
I’ve had one for sale in the classifieds for a while due to lack of use and I was keen to make some room in the cabinet.
Shot it just recently and I’m having a change of heart.
Solid rifles. 💪

I never owned neither handed a Sabatti, but I heard contradictory report from Sabatti owners. Someone praised them, someone maintained that only rifles "prepared" for competition by the factory were good, others said that they couldn'y hit the proverbial barndoor.
From what I heard I conclude that, in the past, Sabatti rifles reliability and accuracy was not the best but, after several recent improvements (e.g. new rifling system) the performances improved a lot.
Sabatti shotguns and combination always had a good reputation.
Anyway, that is hearsay as, I repeat, I never owned neither handed a Sabatti.

I had 2 of them in the past, sold to downsize. The exact model makes a world of difference. The Sabatti rover Shooter is a step above the rest. The price rwflects that but its still a 500-700 euro gun depending on what country you are in. I squeezed 0.8moa out of a standard Rover Hunter in 308 but the Shooter model did half that. They do often require bedding as the stocks tend to be the weakest link. Cant fault the action and the barrel on the "shooter" model is amazing imo. It is produced seperately from the other models, it has some special type of rifling, multiradial i believe they called it.
