Speaking of 85 recoil lugs I've always thought that one could use a Tikka 3 type of lug and the slot in the 85 action. That's how the GRS stock works that I have on my 85 Stainless in .260 Rem. A while back I dismantled my 85 .223 Stainless Laminate to check for moisture. Noticed that this action did not have a slot!
