Sako peak .308

Good evening all.. Just wondering if anyone has experience of the above and with it being so light is felt recoil much more than a composite stock? Can you keep on target?

Thanks for any replies..

Mine is very mild to shoot in 308 with a variety of factory ammo. Weighs 5.5lbs bare. The carbon fibre stock is very straight, which probably helps. I've had several 308s in various configurations and expecting to stay on target would have been wishful thinking with any of them. The Peak probably gives more chance than the others did.

What do mean by "composite", if not the CF of a Peak ? Something as heavy as a Finnlite stock (should be called a Finnheavy) or a B&C ?

Yes agree, was thinking that the Finlight should be lighter but it seems the Adventure is lighter.. Conposite as in the 85s..

I'd be very surprised if there is any difference in weight between the stocks of the Finnlight, and of the Adventure. One can always take a small accurate scale to the shop and check like for like.

I doubt that those two stocks offer any weight saving over a wood stock. A personal weighing session would confirm either way.
