Anyone know of the preferred bullet weight for a standard sako75 6ppc USA?

I think it is around 70 grains.
Aren't the custom match bullets often 68 grains?

I've a 243win. But most of the bullets are on the heavy side for the ppc. Will need to get some light weight fodder.

Very good varmint bullet, that.

The 75 is a bit more versatile than some as it has a 1:12 twist barrel. Mine shoots well with 55gr Nosler BT, 70gr Sierra Matchking (FB) and also the 75gr v-max.

What were your powder and load? Just out of curiosity.

I'm just starting out on the journey but 74g Berger Match are OK but will try some lighter bullets soon:

@the prowler I’ll check the load but the powder is N133. It’s giving 2,900fps with a CCI BR4 primer and about 50fps left with a ‘normal’ CCI 200.

The sako 75 has a 1 in 12 twist.
The sako factory ammunition has Sierra 70gr matchking.
With lots of fetling 80gr flatbase bullets are doable.
87gr hornady vmax is possible too.
I have a Ruger VT 6ppc usa with a 1 in 14 twist factory barrel.
The 70 gr smk are good but the Berger 68gr FB are its favourites...

Same rifle, 75gn Vmax. Mine definitely prefers the flat base bullets.
