Salisbury meet?

Kevin,

Just a big thank you for arranging last night, next time we need to find a pub with a bigger car park!!

So good to put faces to names and a huge pool of wisdom and experience for us novices, freely shared.

Would be up for a spring social if you want to arrange it, would be nice if we could find a venue which would allow us to bring rifles and accessories for a try out/comparison.

Salisbury Get Together

Hi Guys,

A special thanks to Kevin and just a thanks to everyone as a novice it was just amazing to listen to the experience around the table.

Would certainly be up for another social either evening or afternoon so please count me in. And if Kevin doesn't mind happy to help with arranging as well. If everyone would like to PM me their Post Code, name and forum name then I would look for a central location with a bigger car park.

And while I am on if anybody wants a side kick just to come along and watch, listen, hold a bag or lamp, help to carry or drag or anything else very keen to learn last night just showed me how much I have got to learn.

All the Best

Les

How about a deep sea fishing trip out of Lyme Regis in May or June? I'll book up a boat if we can get a few of us together. I'll make sure that I don't miss it this time around!

A deep sea fishing trip is a grand idea, dare i say coupled with a few beers......just a couple ;) .

I'd certainly be interested, but it would depend upon dates....my speaking diary has a habit of pre-booking things like other peoples weddings and birthday celebrations.

Anyone else interested?

Of course this doesn't need to stop us having another meet in a pub for beers somewhere beforehand.

Agree. And I am not precious about 'organising' it either (if indeed organisation is a word that can be properly applied to the last event).

I will turn up and enjoy the evening whoever picks up the baton...

I think Bakerlad has already agreed to take that mantle this time ;)

I'd be happy to meet up for a beer sometime soon. I've spoken to the skipper in Lyme Regis - the cost of an all day deep sea fishing trip is £240 per boat; he has two boats that can each take 7 or 8 rods without being too crowded. He suggests early June as the best time....Friday 11th maybe? Please pm me if interested.
