sauer whiskey 5 scopes - any good?

I am still looking for the ideal scope for my purposes and it looks as if the Sig Sauer Whiskey 5 scopes may fit the bill.

I need (want) the following in a scope : -

1. 4 - 20 (or thereabouts) mag with 50 or 56 mm. objective
2. 30mm. tube
3. Fine reticle with smallest possible illuminated centre dot.
4. Side parallax.
5. As light a weight as possible commensurate with reliability.
6. Brilliant optics in all magnifications.
7. Good or preferably lifetime warranty (which could be passed on to a new purchaser if I ever sold the scope)

Has anyone any experience of these scopes and if so how do you rate them?

The nearest alternative for my purposes (and which I ave actually handled) seems to be the Zeiss Conquest V4 but the illuminated dot version has no parallax adjustment. I have also looked at Delta Titanium HD scopes but they seem quite heavy.

All help/opinions gratefully received - thank you.

Correction - I see that the whiskey 5 with the 5-25 mag is quite heavy (over 800 gm) but the 3-15 version is less than 600 gm - that is the one I am considering.

I have recently bought a minox ZE5i 3-15 x 56 I had very similar requirements to you, except I wanted and German scope. I really wanted a Zeiss but they only have side parallax on the higher magnification scopes.
The minox ZE is made in Germany, has schott glass, I liked the reticule, a fine illuminated dot and the eye relief suits my eye.

Time will tell how I how I get on with it. A Japanese made scope like a delta or a citron would have probably been more suitable but I wanted a European scope.

To get everything you want might be difficult. I would have unreservedly said S&B PMII but it doesn't tick your weight or warranty requirements. Have you considered March scopes? Their 3-24 x 52 ticks most of your boxes and weighs in at 665g which is pretty light for that type of zoom and objective size. FFP, illuminated, 30mm tube, fine centre dot (FML ret), side parallax, good optically.

Can't think of many top flight scopes out there that come in as light with the same specifications. I have owned a Delta Titanium and thought it was fantastic for the money, optically up there with some way more expensive scopes except for slight yellowing at the fringes of the image. The Steiner Ranger might also be worth a look. Fine illuminated centre dot and better optics imho than their much more expensive M5xi scope (I tried one and sent it back...the Ranger I looked at was very good though).
