Scam Sales Alert

Hi , If this is in the wrong section please forward to where it belongs.
I stumbled on a Gun Sales site called GUNGLE that looked a bit fishy. Prices too good to be true and adverts from different towns with item photos on the same background.
I contacted Two out of curiosity, both said still for sale, keen to do a deal, until I said send a photo of rifle with todays date alongside.
End of contact, both items taken down. I dont know if its the whole site thats a scam or just lots of the ads, but it all stinks, there were americanisms in the wording of some of the ads as if pasted from US sites.

Gungle run adds from company's like Optics warehouse offering goods that are not for sale and the add has never been placed on there web page ! I know that as I once tried to buy an item then called the seller only to find out the above ?? .

Regrettably, GUNGLE, appears to be a phishing website. After a few enquiries about lever action guns I was rained upon by phishing emails/spam. The amount of “Dr’s” selling rifles was astounding.
One seller, whose address was just 15 miles away said he would only ship as the last time he had a visit he was shot and robbed. You’d have thought that would have been in the local news. Using Google Image search to find images from old sales on the internet and some email trace. I tracked down the address to the Bronx in NY, which is a long way from Wroxton in Wiltshire.
You will have spam rain down on you if you use your own email and ffs don’t put your mobile on there…

Ps I really should have known better. But my golden rule on face to face and no payment until seen rang true. It doesn’t matter (because you won’t use the site right?) but asking for a photo of the muzzle and inside chamber almost always kills off comms, that or you get an image unrelated. Besides, don’t use that site!!

We have received an email from our colleagues in Cleveland about a fraudulent website called Gungle and trying to use dealer to dealer transfers as part of their fraud. We would like to make you aware of this potential fraud in case you receive any similar enquires.



The website has been taken down.



We have no further information that we can share about this.
